Job description

Title: Cloud Architect/Team Lead.
Location: 100% Remote.
Duration: 4 Years Contract.

Good to have Aviation/Airport Domain experiance.

Project:
Project work entails further development and maintenance of the Aviation Data Analytics Warehouse platform, including integration of new datasets, implementation of enhancements to pipelines, troubleshooting bugs, and providing detailed documentation. This work requires experience with agile project delivery management and experience in Microsoft Azure cloud development.

We are creating a team of Cloud Architect/Team Lead, Data Engineer, and Full Stack Software Engineer.

Job Description:

  • Cloud Architecture and Strategy: Define and lead overall ADAW Cloud Data Architecture and strategy including establishing and implementing industry standards for scalability, resilience, and performance.
  • Data Platform Architecture: Oversee design and deployment of ADAW Data Warehouse platform including establishing and implementing standardized data ingestion, transformation and storage patterns, Lakehouse Architectures, and Data Retention Policies.
  • Project and Portfolio Management: Oversee multiple data integration projects and ongoing enhancement requests through Agile Project Management via Azure DevOps.
  • Budget and Contract Management: In coordination with PA manager, develop and manage annual budgets, manage staff hours and performance, produce weekly and monthly status reports and invoices.
  • Program Governance: Establish and implement data engineering, data governance, and stakeholder engagement frameworks for the ADAW program.
  • Data Integrations and APIs: Lead data integration implementation for APIs, batch feeds, streaming data, SFTP file drops, including developing API management strategies and best practices for data transfer protocols.
  • Resource Monitoring and Cost Optimization tasks.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security architecture for ADAW platform including appropriate Identity and Access Management (IAM), role-based access controls, and key management.

Required Skills:

  • Microsoft Azure Platform, including Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, and DevOps.
  • Relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
