Title: Senior Cloud Observability Engineer

Location: Remote

This role does not offer have Independent Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

·         Set up and pilot the Zeus beta/preview environment and evaluate Horizon (unified CloudWatch experience).

·         Implement AWS-native observability and integrate it into the Cloud Fast Track (CFT) platform / RefStack.

·         Enable the data to flow to CloudWatch Metrics v2, AppSignals, X-Ray, and support workload teams migrating to new monitoring tools.

·         Build meaningful alerts and dashboards; implement meta-monitoring and automated config delivery.

·         Support end-user adoption, onboarding, and enablement; produce an observability adoption playbook.

Required Skills

·         CloudWatch & Zeus metrics (Level 400) — Deep expertise in CloudWatch (Metrics V2, alarms, dashboards) and AWS ZeHorizon — the key success criterion for this role.

·         AWS-native observability (Level 300) — AppSignals and ADOT / X-Ray for logs, traces, and metrics instrumentation.

·         Monitoring migration (Level 300) — Migrating from Datadog / Splunk to AWS-native observability with parity of alerting and dashboards.

·         Platform integration (Level 200) — Integrating observability into CFT/RefStack; automated config delivery and meta-monitoring.

·         Enablement (Level 200) — Building adoption playbooks and enabling client teams to self-serve.
