Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Head of Performance to shape and lead a joined-up Performance Marketing strategy across multiple international markets and brands.
Reporting to the Digital Director, you will work closely with Channel Managers, market stakeholders and teams across Digital, Brand, ATL, Creative, BI and Technology to drive commercial growth across PPC, Paid Social, Mobile/App, Programmatic, YouTube and other relevant channels.
You will own performance planning, target-setting, forecasting, reporting, cross-channel alignment and continuous improvement. You will provide strategic direction and constructive challenge to Channel Managers, while protecting the specialist expertise and autonomy needed to deliver excellent channel performance.
A key priority will be to establish a consistent full-funnel performance framework across OJO and UZU—aligning Brand, Performance and Retention around shared objectives, robust measurement and commercial outcomes. You will also strengthen the connection between ATL, Brand, Creative and Performance, ensuring investment, messaging and activation work together effectively.
As the Performance function evolves, the role will take increasing ownership of cross-functional performance operations, complementing the Digital Director’s broader strategic and organisational leadership.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performance Strategy, Commercial Performance & Channel Optimisation
Partner with Channel Managers to set, track and challenge KPIs, budgets and commercial outcomes, with clear accountability for delivery.
Drive a joined-up digital ecosystem, ensuring every channel understands its role in the customer journey and the impact of attribution and investment decisions across channels.
Lead cross-channel testing, optimisation and innovation, sharing learnings and best practice across markets.
Identify opportunities to improve performance through technology, automation, AI, CRO, landing-page improvements, offer testing and other high-impact initiatives.
Ensure channel plans align with market priorities and wider business objectives, while Channel Managers retain ownership of specialist execution.
2. Performance Planning, Forecasting, Reporting & Measurement
Support Digital Director in annual, mid-year and ongoing performance planning and forecasting across relevant markets, working with Channel Managers, market stakeholders and ATL teams to set ambitious, achievable targets.
Own agreed performance targets across markets and channels, monitoring delivery and providing constructive challenge when plans or results are off track.
Lead monthly performance reporting, providing a clear view of results versus target and budget, alongside key drivers, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.
Establish a central, efficient planning and reporting framework, including master media plans, budget and run-rate tracking, and consistent market documentation.
Coordinate Performance QBRs and senior reviews, ensuring discussions are insight-led, decisions are clear and actions are delivered.
Establish and continuously improve measurement frameworks across attribution, incrementality, MMM, funnel analysis and dashboarding.
Improve data agility and reporting efficiency by partnering with BI, Analytics and Technology to reduce manual work, duplication and decision-making delays.
3. Full-Funnel, ATL, Brand & Creative Performance Alignment
Develop and embed a full-funnel performance framework across Brand, Performance and Retention, aligned to shared business objectives and success metrics—not acquisition alone.
Partner with ATL, Brand, Creative and Marketing teams to connect messaging and media activity with Performance channels, maximising the demand created by ATL investment.
Ensure ATL plans, timing and messaging inform Performance planning, activation and optimisation—and that Performance insights feed back into ATL and Brand planning.
Work with the Director of Social to define and communicate the role of Brand Social and other upper-funnel digital activity within the wider marketing ecosystem, including clear objectives and measurement approaches.
Support assessment of the relationship between ATL investment, digital activity, brand demand, acquisition and retention performance.
4. Performance Operations, Team Leadership & Cross-Market Collaboration
Support Digital Director in day-to-day leadership, direction and coordination across the Performance function, creating clear priorities, accountability and ways of working.
Prioritise cross-channel and cross-market initiatives by business impact, helping teams manage competing stakeholder requests and avoid duplicated effort.
Continuously improve performance processes, governance and ways of working to increase efficiency and reduce operational friction.
Act as the central point of coordination across Performance, ensuring teams understand wider initiatives, dependencies, testing opportunities and activity across channels.
Support the Digital Director in coaching Channel Managers, strengthening capability, accountability, collaboration and team development without unnecessary micromanagement.
Identify resource, capability and structural gaps, partnering with the Digital Director to evolve the Performance function.
Own agreed cross-functional initiatives, ensuring blockers have clear owners, actions and escalation routes.
5. Stakeholder, Platform & Change Management
Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across Markets, Brand, ATL, Creative, Retention, BI/Analytics and Technology.
Influence and constructively challenge Channel Managers and stakeholders to ensure forecasts and targets are robust and performance remains aligned with commercial objectives.
Turn performance data, market developments and channel insights into clear, commercially relevant recommendations for senior leadership.
Represent the Performance function in senior discussions on measurement and data-led decision-making.
Maintain strong relationships with key platform, agency and technology partners, sharing opportunities, best practice and market developments across the Performance function.
Support the Digital Director on growth plans, market priorities, major campaigns and wider strategic initiatives.
Drive adoption of new processes and frameworks through clear communication of the rationale, ownership and expected outcomes.
Represent the Performance function in senior stakeholder forums, translating decisions into clear actions for the wider team.
What we are looking for:
Establish experience in Performance or Digital Marketing, ideally gained within a fast-paced, performance-led environment, with a proven track record of leading multi-channel strategies and delivering commercial growth.
Broad experience across digital performance channels, with a strong understanding of PPC, Paid Social, Mobile/App, Programmatic and/or YouTube. Deep expertise in at least one core discipline is essential, alongside a strong grasp of the wider digital ecosystem.
Proven experience across multiple international markets, adapting performance strategies to different market dynamics, customer behaviours and commercial objectives.
Strong commercial and analytical capability, including experience owning or influencing targets, budgets, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
A solid understanding of digital measurement, attribution, testing, optimisation and marketing effectiveness. Experience with incrementality and MMM is desirable.
Good understanding of how ATL, Brand, Creative, Retention and Digital Performance work together, with a strong appreciation of creative effectiveness and full-funnel commercial performance.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders and channel specialists, and lead change.
Experience leading, mentoring or managing teams, with a focus on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and developing people.
Strong operational and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands, improve processes and turn strategic priorities into action.
Comfortable being hands-on in a lean, fast-moving environment—equally willing to lead, solve problems and get into the detail.
iGaming experience is preferred; however, experience in another performance-led industry will also be highly relevant.
What's in it for YOU?
24 days of annual leave, with additional days awarded after 3 years of service.
Hybrid work model – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
Competitive salary plus an annual bonus (eligible after completing probation).
Private healthcare and life insurance provided upon successful completion of probation.
Participation in the company pension scheme.
Exciting company activities including monthly lunches, corporate gatherings and many other activities
Casual dress code
A chance to advance professionally inside one of the world's largest iGaming organisations
