Epic Beaker Implementation Project Manager

Job Description:
Apex Systems is currently hiring for an Epic Beaker Implementation Project Manager with a leading healthcare client. The ideal candidate will possess prior Epic Beaker implementation experience and a strong understanding of laboratory technology environments, biomedical equipment, hardware integrations, and healthcare IT project delivery.

This individual will serve as a key liaison between IT leadership, Epic application teams, laboratory stakeholders, and vendors to support the successful implementation of Epic Beaker AP and CP across a large multi-hospital healthcare system.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills

5+ years of Project Management experience within a healthcare IT environment
Prior experience supporting Epic Beaker implementation projects
Experience with Epic Beaker AP and/or Beaker CP workflows
Experience coordinating laboratory hardware, biomedical equipment, or medical device integrations
Experience managing implementation readiness activities, installation planning, and deployment coordination
Experience creating and managing implementation checklists related to hardware integrations and system readiness
Experience coordinating vendors throughout healthcare technology implementation projects
Experience supporting interface testing, integration validation, and deployment activities
Experience collaborating with IT leadership, Epic analysts, and operational stakeholders across multiple teams
Strong understanding of healthcare technology projects involving EMR systems, laboratory workflows, and integrated hardware environments
Ability to manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in complex healthcare environments
Experience supporting large healthcare systems or multi-facility organizations preferred
Prior consulting experience supporting Epic or healthcare technology implementations preferred
Preferred Certifications: Epic Beaker AP/CP certification preferred.

PMP Certification preferred.

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Onsite every other Thursday
Local travel to healthcare system locations within San Diego County as needed (less than 10%)
Contract Duration: 25 Weeks (anticipated through June 2027)
Pay Range: $80.00 - $85.00/hour
