Job Description

Position: Data Product Manager

Location: Remote

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of data-driven products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong product management experience combined with a solid understanding of data, analytics, and technology.

The Data Product Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, data science, analytics, and technology teams to identify opportunities, define product requirements, prioritize the roadmap, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products.

Partner with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data and product requirements.

Develop and prioritize product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to deliver scalable data products.

Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI/ML to improve business outcomes.

Define key product metrics, KPIs, and success criteria.

Analyze user and business data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Manage product releases and communicate roadmap, priorities, and progress to stakeholders.

Ensure data products meet requirements related to data quality, governance, security, and compliance.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Gather feedback from users and stakeholders and continuously improve the product.

Monitor product performance and use data-driven insights to prioritize enhancements.

Communicate complex data and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in Product Management, preferably with data, analytics, or technology products.

Strong understanding of data analytics, data pipelines, data platforms, and data governance.

Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong experience with product roadmaps, backlog management, user stories, and prioritization.

Proficiency with SQL and the ability to analyze and interpret data.

Experience working with BI/analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building or managing data products, data platforms, or analytics products.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge of modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, or similar platforms.

Exposure to AI/ML products and use cases.

Experience with data governance, data quality, privacy, and security.

Product Management certifications are a plus.
