Workday HCM People Systems Engagement Specialist

Our client, a major entertainment/media firm located in NYC (Midtown), is looking to hire a remote Workday HCM People Systems Engagement Specialist. This is a 1 year contract with the likelihood of extension. This is a fully remote opportunity.

The People Systems Engagement Specialist serves as the bridge between HR programs, and HR technology. This role focuses on driving stakeholder engagement, adoption, and satisfaction through effective use of HR systems, communications, and process design.

The specialist partners closely with HR, People Systems, and other key stakeholders to ensure System configurations are well understood, easy to use, and consistently experienced through content, across the Workday platform to transform content engagement data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision‐making, operational efficiency, and stakeholder experience. The position requires some independent judgment, Workday system experience, and the ability to design and deliver stakeholder engagement content and tools as HCM solutions with some supervision.

This is a customer facing role – Strong verbal and communications skills are required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive stakeholder adoption of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, self-service tools, performance, learning, benefits platforms).
• Design, coordinate, and deliver stakeholder enablement materials (aids, guides, FAQs, videos, release notes).
• Participate in HR system projects, upgrades, and initiatives with an engagement lens.
• Support HR system releases and process changes through structured change management activities.
• Identify engagement gaps in HR technology usage and recommend improvements.
• Provide level 1 people system support by troubleshooting system issues and determine appropriate technical solutions
• Document system designs and configuration decisions
• Analyse engagement metrics, system usage data, and employee feedback.
• Track support trends and identify opportunities to improve usability and satisfaction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR services and employee experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of Workday HCM experience
• Experience developing enablement content such as user guides, training decks, or videos via AI technology
• Ability to translate technical or HR concepts into clear, employee friendly messaging.
• Ability to operate independently and exercise technical discretion
• Proven customer service skills
