Position – QA Automation Lead – Guidewire

Location – Plano, TX and San Antonio, TX

Duration – 12+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Automation Lead with 10+ years of software testing experience and strong hands-on expertise inGuidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA strategy, test planning, automation, execution oversight, defect management, and release governance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA strategy, test planning, execution, and release validation for enterprise applications.
  • Provide QA leadership and execution oversight across multiple testing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks using modern automation tools.
  • Design and execute automated UI, API, functional, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Automate Guidewire business workflows across ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter.
  • Develop and maintain automation using the GT-UI Framework.
  • Implement BDD-based automation using Cucumber.
  • Perform API automation and validation using Postman and Karate.
  • Develop browser-based automation using Playwright, WebDriverIO, and Selenium.
  • Perform performance and load testing using JMeter.
  • Manage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with development and business teams.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery through Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish automation best practices, coding standards, reusable frameworks, and maintainable test suites.
  • Provide testing status, risk assessment, defect metrics, and release-readiness recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of software testing / QA experience.
  • Strong experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter.
  • Strong QA Automation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Playwright
    • WebDriverIO
    • Selenium
    • Cucumber BDD
    • Postman
    • Karate
    • JMeter
  • Experience with Guidewire GT-UI Framework.
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong experience in test planning, execution, defect management, and release governance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
