Junior SDET / Junior Automation Engineer (Playwright / Appium) with Banking Domain Experience

Note: Banking Domain / Retail Banking Domain Experience is a must to have

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation for Web applications using Playwright.
Develop and maintain automation for Mobile applications using Appium across Android and iOS.
Build automated test scenarios using low-code/no-code automation platforms where applicable.
Automate end-to-end Retail Banking workflows spanning Web, Mobile, APIs, and backend integrations.
Build and maintain smoke, functional, regression, and end-to-end automation suites.
Validate UI, API, backend data, and system integrations as part of complete business workflows.
Develop reusable automation components, utilities, test data, and common workflows.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
Maintain automation as applications, platforms, and business processes evolve.
Follow established automation framework standards, coding practices, and version-control processes.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA teams, and product stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills
3 4 years of overall QA / Test Automation experience.
Minimum 3 4 years of Retail Banking testing experience.
Hands-on experience with Playwright for Web automation.
Hands-on experience with Appium for Mobile application automation.
Experience automating Android and/or iOS applications.
Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
Experience with Web and Mobile end-to-end test automation.
Exposure to at least one low-code/no-code automation tool.
Understanding of API testing and integrated system validation.
Basic SQL/database validation skills.
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Good debugging, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Retail Banking Domain Experience

The candidate should have experience testing workflows across areas such as:

Customer onboarding and account opening
Online and mobile banking
Checking and savings accounts
Payments and fund transfers
Bill payments
Customer profile and account servicing
Authentication and MFA
Transaction history and statements
Core banking and downstream system integrations

Nice-to-have Skills
Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar device/cloud testing platforms.
API automation using REST services.
Understanding of reusable automation design patterns such as Page Object Model.
Experience with test-data-driven or keyword-driven automation.
Exposure to AI-assisted test automation platforms.
