Data Engineer

Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Data Visualization Engineer with strong Denodo expertise to support a law firm and its growing data and analytics initiatives. This role will focus on building and optimizing data services, integrating information from multiple enterprise platforms, and creating the interface layer that enables meaningful visualization and reporting across the firm. A key area of focus will be supporting analytics related to AI tool adoption and usage, helping business and technology leaders gain visibility into how AI technologies are being utilized across legal and operational teams.
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data views and data services within the Denodo platform.
• Connect and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business applications.
• Build and manage base views, derived views, and interface views.
• Create and maintain data virtualization solutions that support reporting and visualization initiatives.
• Develop and troubleshoot API integrations, including authentication methods such as OAuth and Basic Authentication.
• Validate and test integrations using Postman, Swagger, and related tools.
• Investigate and resolve data connectivity and API-related issues.
• Partner with business leaders and end users to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Support visualization and analytics efforts related to AI tool usage, adoption metrics, and operational reporting.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of hands-on Denodo experience.
• Proven ability to build data views, configure data services, connect new data sources, and manage integrations within Denodo.
• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience designing and supporting API integrations.
• Experience working with enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Postman and/or Swagger for testing and troubleshooting APIs.
• Understanding of authentication and security concepts, including OAuth and API key management.
