Job Summary

GDOT is seeking an experienced IT Trainer / Instructional Designer to deliver training to employees on custom and commercial IT applications. The role involves onsite and virtual training, training content development, LMS administration, and collaboration with IT/business teams.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience as an IT/Technical/Application Trainer or Instructional Designer.
• Experience delivering onsite classroom and virtual training using Microsoft Teams.
• Strong experience training adult learners in an enterprise environment.
• Experience developing PowerPoint presentations, Trainer Guides, Quick Reference Guides, User Manuals, Storyboards, and training videos.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with an LMS; Oracle/Workday experience is a plus.
• Experience with training/content tools such as Scribe, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate 360/Storyline is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and train users on new IT applications.
• Experience supporting UAT, application rollouts, and end-user training is preferred.

Important Requirements

• Local Georgia candidates only.
• Must be willing to travel to GDOT District/Area offices, including Gainesville and Tennille, for onsite training.
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle for authorized business travel.
• Must be available for a fixed Monday–Friday, 40-hour work schedule.
• Hybrid work capability is preferred.
