Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Learning Experience Architect / Instructional Designer to serve as an extension of our Learning & Development team during a period of significant organizational growth and training expansion. This role will support the design, development, and delivery of training materials associated with large-scale business initiatives and operational changes. The ideal candidate is an independent, highly skilled instructional design professional who can quickly assess learning needs, transform business content into effective learning solutions, and work with minimal oversight while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Design & Development

Design and develop engaging learning solutions for adult learners.

Convert source materials, business processes, and subject matter expert content into effective learning experiences.

Create eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise 360.

Build learning materials including; Participant guides, Facilitator guides, Job aids, Reference materials, PowerPoint presentations, Performance support tools

Update and enhance existing training content to align with evolving business needs.

Apply instructional design best practices to ensure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention.

Visual Design & Content Creation

Create visually appealing and professional learning materials.

Apply branding standards and templates while maintaining creativity and learner engagement.

Design graphics, layouts, infographics, and presentation materials that support learning objectives.

Ensure all deliverables reflect a polished and professional learner experience.

Business Partnership & Consulting

Work collaboratively with Learning Architects

Take direction from project leads while independently managing assigned work.

Clarify requirements when needed and proactively identify potential challenges or risks.

Support changing priorities and shifting project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Project Execution

Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.

Deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Maintain strong organization and documentation practices.

Quickly ramp up on unfamiliar subject matter and business processes.

Review and incorporate feedback effectively while meeting established timelines.

Requirements

Desired Qualifications

Experience

Instructional design, learning experience design, or training development experience.

Experience in corporate Learning & Development environments.

Experience independently managing instructional design projects from concept through delivery.

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency with: Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Microsoft PowerPoint

Experience creating digital learning assets and job aids.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

Design Skills

Strong visual design and layout capabilities.

Ability to create professional, engaging learning materials.

Understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centered design.

Experience applying brand standards to training materials.

Onsite collaboration daily with the Learning & Development team at Mason, Ohio location.
