Senior Full Stack / Technical Lead
Looking for an extremely strong senior Full Stack Engineer who can operate more like a technical lead than simply an individual contributor.
Core skills: Java, React, full stack application development.
Candidate needs to be able to work with product teams, help guide project direction, lead other developers, make technical recommendations, and operate independently. Manager specifically wants someone capable of coming in and telling the team what they should be doing rather than waiting for direction.
Must be near a U.S. Bank hub.
 
Is this a remote position?
No. Resource must be able to work onsite in the Dallas, Hopkins, Chicago, St. Louis, Charlotte, or Atlanta office 3 days a week
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiatives which describes what’s being done?
The Corporate Digital Servicing project is focused on modernizing Corporate Connect by expanding digital self-service capabilities, automating high-friction servicing processes, and improving the client experience across business lines. Key initiatives include Authorized Signer Maintenance, document access, customer DIY capabilities, analytics enablement, secure integrations, and platform resiliency improvements. Together, these efforts reduce manual operational work, strengthen controls and compliance, improve release reliability, and provide scalable digital servicing capabilities for corporate clients.
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?
·       The Engineering Lead drives end-to-end delivery for Corporate Digital Servicing, covering UI, backend services, APIs, integrations, testing, and production readiness.
·       This role provides technical leadership through design guidance, code review, issue resolution, and scalable, secure engineering practices.
·       The lead partners with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, security, and platform teams to manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
·       They help improve quality, reliability, observability, compliance, release readiness, and production support.
·       The role also supports CI/CD, environment readiness, deployment coordination, and code promotion discipline.
·       In addition, the Engineering Lead mentors engineers, reinforces standards, and promotes reusable patterns and continuous improvement.
What skills/technologies are required?
The strongest fit is someone with Java/Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, Apigee, SSO/JWT/LDAP, GitLab, CI/CD, Kubernetes/AKS/Istio, Datadog, secure coding, Azure, GitLab, Datadog, Jira, IntelliJ, Visual Code, automated testing, and enterprise release governance experience. They should also understand microservices, micro-frontends, cloud integrations, resiliency, PCI/GDPR considerations, and production support in a complex banking platform environment.
What skills/attributes are preferred?
A strong candidate would be an experienced full-stack engineer with Java/Spring Boot, React, API integration, cloud-native design, DevOps, testing, security, and observability experience, who can operate independently in a complex enterprise delivery environment. They should be comfortable leading implementation details, reviewing code, coordinating with offshore teams, managing dependencies, and translating business and architecture direction into reliable, scalable Corporate Connect capabilities.
