X-Lab Developer with Security Clearance

The X-Lab is responsible for developing and integrating future-capability prototypes for the Missile Defense System, including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies. The X-Lab needs to augment the team with a mid-level Software Engineer who holds a Secret Clearance and possesses demonstrable skills in the following areas: Full-cycle software engineering of new capabilities; basic systems engineering understanding to drive software design; software development with Java (or other object-oriented language); object-oriented development principles and patterns; good verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlines. Application deployment, integration, and troubleshooting across Windows & Unix/Linux platforms. Operating systems experience with Windows & Unix/Linux. Experience with any of the following: Eclipse IDE, Maven, and Git/GitLab, Python, Ansible for build, version control, and configuration management. Write and maintain Bash scripts for automating build-and-test pipelines. Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and automated test frameworks; ability to produce repeatable test artifacts and maintain test coverage. Security+ certification (required at start)

Basic Qualifications
Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a postsecondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications Technical Skills Desired: 3 years of hands-on Java development in a secure or defense-related environment. Strong command of the Java Spring framework. (Spring MCV, Spring Data, Spring Boot) Experience with the Linux environment. Experience in the use of software test and analysis tools. Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Other Sec+ and Secret required at start. Some travel may be required. "
