Our team is expanding, we are looking for two Financial Wellbeing Advisers to champion financial wellbeing in our community.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering practical, outcome-focused advice on a range of financial wellbeing and resilience topics, including, debt, income maximisation, budgeting and energy efficiency advice, to support residents navigating cost-of-living challenges.
  • Empowering people via 1-to-1 appointments, phone channels, home visits, and interactive group education sessions in schools, colleges and the community.
  • Championing financial inclusion across Swindon by helping to build and maintain community partnerships and spotlighting unfair social issues through national campaigns.
  • Gaining industry-recognised qualifications and training, including the City & Guilds NEA Level 3 Energy Awareness and the Citizens Advice Adviser Training programme.

  • Advisers & Career-Changers: Backgrounds in advice work, benefits, debt, customer-facing roles, or community engagement looking to make an immediate difference

  • Driven Career Starters: Enthusiastic, fast learners with strong digital skills, a positive "can-do" mindset, and a genuine passion for helping others build financial security
  • Resilient Communicators: Strong listening and questioning skills to guide people through emotional or high-pressure situations with care, respect and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivation: Outstanding organisational skills to manage active casework and work independently in dynamic settings.
  • Local Mobility: Willingness to travel across the Swindon borough for outreach and client home visits. A driving licence or access to a vehicle is not required, as the local public transport network provides complete coverage.

Competitive Salary: £25,012 - £27,012, based on your experience
