Job Description
FINANCE MANAGER
Keswick Ministries exists to refresh the church with joy in Christ Jesus. Through the historic Keswick Convention, year-round events, training and resources, it inspires and equips Christians to hear God's Word, become more like Christ and serve God's mission in the world. Each summer, the Convention welcomes over 12,000 people to the Lake District, bringing together Christians from across denominations and generations around faithful Bible teaching and worship.
We're looking for a skilled and proactive Finance Manager to join the team in Keswick. Reporting to the Director of Finance and managing the Finance Assistant, you'll lead the day-to-day finance function, provide high-quality financial reporting and analysis, and help ensure the ministry's resources are stewarded effectively for maximum Kingdom impact. You'll also play a key role in developing financial systems and supporting the transition from Sage to Xero.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate records and efficient processes across the organisation.
- Produce management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis that support effective decision-making by senior leaders and trustees.
- Work closely with colleagues across the ministry, providing financial guidance and helping non-finance managers understand and use financial information confidently.
- Support the ongoing development of finance systems, including the migration from Sage to Xero and the integration of financial and supporter data through Beacon CRM.
- Play an important role in stewarding the resources of a ministry that has been serving and strengthening the church for over 150 years.
This is a fantastic opportunity to combine professional finance expertise with meaningful Christian ministry. You'll join a warm, committed team based in one of the UK's most beautiful locations and contribute to an organisation that impacts thousands of Christians every year through events, teaching and resources.
Benefits:
- 8% employer pension contribution, with Salary Sacrifice option
- 21 days annual leave plus bank/public holidays, plus office closed for four days between Christmas and New Year, in recognition of the additional hours worked during Convention
- Relocation allowance offered
- Beautiful Lake District location with a supportive and collaborative team culture
