Product Owner

Up to c£525 per day

Remote, UK based

We are recruiting an experienced Product Owner to play a central role in the delivery of a greenfield digital software project.

Working closely with both technical engineering teams and key business stakeholders, you will translate business needs into clearly defined product outcomes and actionable delivery plans. You will ensure that requirements are properly understood, prioritised and developed into high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Capture, analyse and clearly define business and user requirements.
Translate requirements into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is appropriately prioritised.
Lead planning, refinement and delivery activities with engineering teams.
Monitor team velocity and use delivery data to support realistic forecasting.
Work collaboratively with technical teams to understand feasibility, dependencies and delivery challenges.
Engage with business stakeholders to define the correct outcomes and maintain alignment throughout the project.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and ongoing product refinement.
Ensure delivered functionality meets the agreed business and user objectives.

Required Experience

Proven experience as a Product Owner within a digital software environment.
Experience delivering greenfield software products or platforms.
Strong practical experience of creating and managing epics and user stories.
Demonstrable experience of requirements capture, backlog management and delivery planning.
A good understanding of team velocity and its use in forecasting and prioritisation.
Experience working directly with software engineering and technical delivery teams.
Strong stakeholder-management experience across operational and business areas.
The ability to translate complex business needs into clear, achievable technical requirements.
Excellent communication, facilitation and decision-making skills.
