SCRUM Master

Scrum Master | Telford | Public Sector Location: Telford, 1 day per week onsite Rate: £550 per day, Inside IR35 Contract: 12 months, with potential for extension Clearance: BPSS We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master operating to join a complex technology delivery environment for a central Government Department.

This role would particularly suit someone who has progressed into Scrum Master or Agile Delivery positions from a software development or software testing background and therefore brings a strong technical understanding alongside their Agile delivery experience. This is not a purely facilitative Scrum Master role.

You will take a delivery-focused approach, using your technical knowledge to identify risks early, challenge constructively and adapt ways of working where required to ensure teams continue to deliver successfully.

Key Responsibilities Act as Scrum Master for one or more delivery teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies<br />Drive delivery outcomes while applying Agile principles pragmatically<br />Identify and remove delivery impediments, risks and dependencies<br />Use your technical background to assess delivery health, quality and readiness<br />Work closely with Developers, Testers, Product Owners and Delivery Leads<br />Provide clear delivery updates to stakeholders<br />Ensure delivery activities align with relevant governance requirements<br />Challenge teams and stakeholders constructively to keep delivery on trackEssential Experience Proven experience working as a Scrum Master at SFIA Level 5<br />Previous hands-on experience within software development or software testing<br />Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle<br />Experience working within complex, multi-team technology environments<br />Strong delivery focus, with the ability to identify and resolve blockers<br />Confident stakeholder management and communication skills<br />Ability to challenge, influence and drive positive delivery outcomesDesirable Experience Previous experience within government, public sector or other regulated environments
