Rail / Civil Engineering About the Role<br />Insite International are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer with PTS to work on a major railway embankment stabilisation project in West Crewkerne, Somerset.<br />The project involves the stabilisation of a railway embankment following a historic slope slip, with extensive earthworks and associated ground engineering works being undertaken to secure and strengthen the bank.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out a range of earthworks and civil engineering elements, including:<br />- Soil nails on a slope<br />- Earthworks<br />- Haul roads<br />- Working platforms<br />- Drainage<br />- General site setting out and surveying duties Requirements<br />Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer<br />Strong experience within civil engineering / earthworks<br />Experience setting out earthworks and associated infrastructure<br />Valid PTS certification preferred<br />Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications<br />Ability to work accurately and independently on site<br />Relevant surveying / engineering qualifications and experience PTS Sponsorship Available<br />Our client is able to fully sponsor candidates through the PTS process, subject to successful completion of a medical and Drug &amp; Alcohol (D&amp;A) test.<br />Sub-sponsorship is also available for suitable candidates.
