Software Engineer - SIP Engineer (536927)
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Work Authorization: USC
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - SIP Engineer with expertise in real-time voice and video communication systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SIP-based telecommunications, VoIP platforms, and backend service development.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting real-time voice and video communication systems.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with SIP and related telecommunications protocols.
  • Strong experience building and operating VoIP platforms in production environments.
  • Production-level experience with Kamailio or FreeSWITCH.
  • Experience developing backend services using .NET or Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network, signaling, and media delivery challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing call-routing logic and automation using LUA.
  • Hands-on experience with WebRTC, STUN/TURN, and browser-based audio/video communications.
  • Familiarity with Asterisk platforms and deployments.
  • Strong ANSI C knowledge for low-level debugging, media processing, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
Education:
  • B.E./B.Tech./MCA in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
