Oracle Fusion Finance Report Developer

Duration: 2 months (possible extension)
Work Location: Houston Texas 77024 (hybrid role - primarily working from home, but with periodic on site requirements)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Finance Report Developer to support a large-scale Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation. This role will focus on developing financial statements, management reports, transactional reports, dashboards, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional Finance domain knowledge combined with hands-on technical reporting expertise and the ability to develop financial reports and dashboards using multiple Oracle reporting tools, including Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Financial Reporting / Financial Reporting Center, Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC), Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Finance reports using Oracle FDI, Financial Reporting, FCC, BI Publisher, and OTBI.
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into appropriate Oracle reporting solutions.
• Determine the appropriate reporting technology based on business requirements, data sources, reporting frequency, formatting requirements, and level of detail.
• Develop FDI dashboards, analyses, KPIs, and visualizations using Finance subject areas and semantic models.
• Develop and maintain financial statements and management reports, including:
  • Income statements
  • Balance sheets
  • Cash flow statements
  • Departmental reporting
  • Variance analysis
• Build BI Publisher reports and data models for detailed, formatted, scheduled, and high-volume reporting requirements.
• Develop OTBI analyses and dashboards for transactional and operational Finance reporting.
• Support financial reporting requirements within FCC, including consolidated financial statements, management reporting, and related reporting hierarchies.
• Validate report outputs against Oracle Fusion ERP and other authoritative data sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues related to data, hierarchies, security, calculations, mappings, and report configuration.
• Support system integration, user acceptance testing, and regression testing, including development of test scenarios and reconciliation of reporting results.
• Document report designs, calculations, data sources, filters, prompts, and other technical or functional design decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance functional teams to understand Oracle concepts, including General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, hierarchies, accounting periods, balances, journals, and subledger accounting.
• Assist with report rationalization and identify opportunities to leverage standard Oracle reports or existing reporting solutions before developing custom reports.
• Follow established project development, migration, testing, and change-control standards through deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience developing Finance reports within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
• Strong experience with Oracle ERP financial reporting tools, including:
  • Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
  • Oracle Financial Reporting / Financial Reporting Center
  • Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC)
  • Oracle BI Publisher (BIP)
  • Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)
• Strong knowledge of Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle FDI.
• Understanding of Oracle Fusion Financials data structures and reporting concepts.
• Experience developing financial statements, management reports, transactional reports, dashboards, and analytics.
• Ability to independently take a reporting requirement through design, development, testing, reconciliation, and deployment.
• Strong SQL and data-analysis skills, particularly for troubleshooting and validating report results.
• Ability to work directly with Finance business users and explain technical reporting concepts in business terms.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to reconcile reports against source financial data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
