The Analyst works across multiple projects and interfaces with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, HSE, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. This is a project-support and decision-support position and does not carry overall accountability for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare executive reports, dashboards, presentations, briefing materials, meeting packages, and decision-support analyses.
  • Collect, validate, analyze, and consolidate project data related to scope, cost, schedule, progress, risk, change, procurement, staffing, and KPIs.
  • Maintain project trackers, action logs, decision logs, risk/opportunity registers, change logs, governance calendars, and project-controls records.
  • Support project schedules, cost forecasts, cash-flow profiles, estimates, staffing plans, and resource forecasts.
  • Monitor project performance against approved baselines and identify variances and emerging trends.
  • Coordinate project reviews, stage-gate activities, risk reviews, contractor performance reviews, and leadership meetings.
  • Support project document control, version control, completeness checks, and distribution of project records.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to obtain information and resolve project-data gaps.
  • Assist with contract, purchase order, invoice, commitment, and change-order tracking.
  • Support project-management procedures, templates, governance requirements, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Support applicable Management of Change, project governance, and regulatory-compliance activities.
  • Participate in site visits, field walkdowns, and data-collection activities as required.
  • Handle confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in project management, project controls, engineering, construction, operations support, or business analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong Microsoft 365 proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, including scope, cost, schedule, risk, change, quality, procurement, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and document discipline.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace and facility safety.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CAPM, PMP, or related project management/project controls credential completed or in progress.
  • Experience with Power BI, project scheduling tools, cost-control systems, AI productivity tools, or ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting capital projects within LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, energy, industrial, or similarly regulated facilities.
  • Experience supporting brownfield and/or greenfield projects throughout planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and closeout.
  • Familiarity with operating-facility interfaces, Management of Change, stage-gate governance, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Work Environment & Travel

This position is primarily office-based in Houston, Texas, with periodic travel to industrial facilities in the surrounding Gulf Coast region. Occasional travel to contractor, vendor, supplier, or fabrication locations may also be required.

Candidates must be able to participate in field walkdowns, comply with applicable site safety and PPE requirements, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a valid TWIC credential as required.
