Job Title: Power BI Developer (Full-Time)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support a public-sector education finance initiative. The role involves building dashboards, validating student loan data, and managing a reliable Power BI reporting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write SQL queries and validate student loan data from multiple sources
  • Build and maintain dashboards and custom Power BI visualizations
  • Migrate existing Tableau and Crystal reports to Power BI
  • Configure Power BI Service within the Power Platform, including security, access, and accessibility controls
  • Develop data refresh strategies using Azure SQL Server and other sources
  • Perform root cause analysis of data issues and document business rules
  • Provide user training, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced Power BI development experience
  • Experience with student loan data validation, including forbearance data
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including with senior leadership
