Senior Power BI Developer / BI Engineer

Location: Delaware, OH
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite — 5 Days per Week
Employment Type: W2 Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer / BI Engineer for an enterprise financial-services technology environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.

  • Develop advanced DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.

  • Build reusable semantic models and scalable reporting solutions.

  • Integrate data from enterprise databases and data warehouses.

  • Optimize report performance, data models, and SQL queries.

  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, and access controls.

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.

  • Support production reporting, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Financial services or banking industry experience.

  • Financial, operational, risk, and compliance reporting.

  • Power BI deployment pipelines and gateways.

  • Star schema / Snowflake schema.

  • Data governance, data lineage, and reporting controls.

  • Azure data platform experience.

Candidate Requirements

  • 8–10 years of overall IT experience.

  • Strong hands-on Power BI development experience.

  • Advanced DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.

  • Enterprise reporting and dashboard development experience.

  • W2 contract availability.

  • Must be able to work onsite five days per week in Delaware, OH.

Local candidates are preferred.
