Sr. Project Manager (Radio Systems) specialist required for a Long Term Onsite Project at Mineola, NY

We are trying to source Sr. Project Manager (Radio Systems) specialist to support our client implementation and cutover of its new 7–800 MHz Motorola P25 public-safety radio system.

The candidate needs to be a very experienced Motorola public-safety radio PM, not simply a general IT project manager. The SOW specifically requires at least 10 years of experience managing Motorola public-safety radio systems/projects, preferably in law enforcement. Experience should include 500/700/800 MHz, combined 7–800 MHz, and LTE environments.

It is 100% Onsite at Mineola, NY.

The technical background they expect is broad: P25 Phase I/II, FDMA/TDMA, trunking, simulcast, encryption, Motorola subscriber radios, MCC 7500 dispatch consoles, microwave, ISSI, radio coverage, OTAP/OTAR, authentication, Radio Central, provisioning, FCC licensing/compliance, and related radio-core technologies.

There is also a notable software/integration component. They want experience overseeing or validating C, C++, Java and ASP.NET API development/integration with NCPD systems including NICE Logging & Recording, CAD, GIS/CC AWARE, and AMS.

 Required Skills

·   Experience project managing and implementing large-scale public safety radio communications systems. (Law enforcement preferred)

·        P25 Digital Radio Systems Phase I and Phase II Standards

·  APX, XTS and XTL 2500/1500 Mobile and Handheld Radio Subscribers Fleetmapping, Configuring, Codeplugs and Programming Parameters.

·  MCC 7500 and Dispatch Consoles Trunking and Conventional Systems

·        Microwave Radio

·        ISSI

·        Reading and Evaluating Radio Coverage Maps

·        ADP and AES Encryption

·        FDMA/TDMA Modulation Schemes

·    Knowledge of FCC regulations, compliance, licensing and construction requirements

·      Supervisor over radio consultants and other County employees

·      C, C++, Java, ASP.NET integration software for APIs integration into: NCPD NICE Logging and Recording Systems, CAD, GIS/CC AWARE and AMS

·        OTAP, OTAR, Radio Authentication

·        Radio Core, DSR, Radio Central, Provisioning Manger
