Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and other technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear technical and functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flows, data mappings, and use cases.
- Work closely with developers and architects to understand system integrations and technical solutions.
- Analyze data using SQL and perform data validation and troubleshooting.
- Understand REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, and system integrations.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate with QA teams during SIT/UAT, defect analysis, and validation.
- Identify gaps between current-state and future-state processes and document proposed solutions.
- Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and system enhancements.
- Maintain requirements and project documentation using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and functional documentation.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with API/system integrations and understanding of REST APIs.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working with development, QA, and business teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Postman/API testing.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Experience with data mapping and migration.
- Experience with cloud applications or microservices.
- Financial services/banking domain experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
