Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced **HIL / SIL Validation Engineer** to develop, execute, automate, and maintain verification and validation activities for embedded control systems and ECUs.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with **dSPACE HIL systems, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), MATLAB/Simulink, Python automation, C/C++, CAN/J1939, UDS diagnostics, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, and ECU validation**.

The engineer will work closely with Software Verification & Validation, controls, software, and product engineering teams to support system-level verification, automation, troubleshooting, and delivery of embedded control software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain **HIL and SIL verification test plans** for embedded control systems and ECUs.
• Design and execute system-level validation tests using **dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and automation frameworks**.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot **dSPACE and Vector-based test benches**.
• Develop automated test scripts using **Python, C++, and gtest**.
• Create test automation frameworks to improve validation efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
• Automate data collection, test execution, result analysis, and validation reporting.
• Perform **ECU integration testing and embedded controls validation**.
• Analyze software and hardware defects and perform detailed **root-cause analysis**.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across HIL, SIL, ECU, software, and hardware environments.
• Conduct system-level verification of software and hardware integrations.
• Perform diagnostics and fault-injection testing.
• Work with **CAN/J1939 and UDS communication protocols**.
• Use **Vector CANoe and CANalyzer** for communication analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, component specifications, and data sheets.
• Perform hardware setup, wiring, instrumentation, and troubleshooting of validation benches.
• Maintain validation environments and test equipment.
• Participate in technical reviews, planning activities, defect reviews, and validation discussions.
• Collaborate with embedded software, controls, product, and validation engineering teams.
