Software Engineer Level 2 with Security Clearance

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer in the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML-driven systems within a cloud-based infrastructure. This position focuses on building high-performance, scalable applications and enabling automation through infrastructure as code. The role involves working with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities. Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing and new software systems
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, including GPU-enabled solutions
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform in AWS environments
• Develop and optimize backend services using C++, Python, and/or Go
• Support and enhance large-scale streaming data analytics platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy robust software solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues Qualifications Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 14+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with AI/ML development or integration
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS cloud environments
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go
• Experience developing high-performance and/or GPU-enabled applications
