Help shape the delivery of change at The AA

Every successful transformation programme needs a strong PMO behind it, and as a Portfolio PMO Analyst at The AA, you will play a key role in helping our change portfolio run smoothly through strong governance, financial management and reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in PMO, project support or coordination and is ready for the next step in their career.

You will work closely with experienced Programme and Project Managers across a fast-paced enterprise environment, developing your expertise in financials, PMO tooling and process improvement. At The AA, you will be part of a supportive team where you can take ownership from day one, contribute to meaningful change and continue building a career in programme and portfolio management.

What will I be doing?
  • Support portfolio governance and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality information for stakeholders.
  • Produce dashboards, reports and portfolio insights that help track project performance, budgets and delivery progress.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of portfolio data across PMO systems and support continuous improvements to reporting processes.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Finance and Procurement teams to help monitor budgets, forecast spend and investigate financial variances.
  • Support governance meetings through planning, coordination, action tracking and documentation.
  • Help embed PMO best practice by supporting colleagues with processes, tools and ways of working while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
What do I need?
  • A solid grounding in PMO, project support or coordination, with confidence working in a structured delivery environment.
  • A genuine interest in financial management, budgeting or reporting, with the ability to work confidently with data and spreadsheets.
  • Comfort using PMO tools and Microsoft Office, with exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence or SharePoint being an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across different teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, improve processes and build a career within Portfolio or Project Management.
