Support Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical)

This is not an IT support role.

Milton Keynes Permanent Customer Contact Centre

Office based role - Candidates who live more than 30 minutes commute will not be considered.

Looking for a technical role where your skills can make a real difference?

We re recruiting for a Support Engineer to join a specialist healthcare environment, providing remote technical support for advanced diagnostic equipment used across NHS and private laboratories.

Based in Milton Keynes, you ll use innovative remote technology including RDP, VNC and Augmented Reality to diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and support customers, helping to keep essential equipment operational and reducing the need for on-site visits.

The Role

  • Provide first-line remote technical support.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical and equipment faults.
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Escalate complex issues to field engineers and technical specialists.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while ensuring safety at all times.

About You

  • Level 3 qualification in Electronics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar.
  • 2+ years experience in technical support or field service.
  • Strong electromechanical and IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident explaining technical information to customers.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
