Job Title: Project Manager: III Duration: 2 years Contract (This role will not be converting FTE) Location: San Diego CA 92123 Job Summary:
Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and people management.
Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions.
Responsibilities are within the Project/Program Management function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.
Leads the execution of complex projects by defining scope, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements while fostering collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
Manages and directs multiple projects (small to medium) within a department or business unit.
Manages all activities leading to the successful completion of projects including project scoping, timelines, cost estimates, and design.
Develops and maintains parameters for project requirements.
Provides direction to contractors, consultants, and project teams.
Coordinates input from and participation with various other departments within the Company as needed to meet project objective.
Analyzes and determines regulatory impacts and requirements of the project.
Builds business cases and justifications for projects designed to improve business processes and/or efficiency.
Provides team/project goals and evaluates performance.
Manages related workforce planning, budget analysis, and prepares budget forecasts.
This position is medium in scope (i.e., number of stakeholders, contractors, vendors, etc.).
Typically works with Continuous Improvement lead on projects that may be complex.
May present updates to Directors or Executives.
Performa value realization to identify benefits and change impacts.
Develops and maintains user guides and training material.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Communication Management - The systematic planning, implementing, monitoring, and revision of all the channels of communication within an organization and between organizations.
KPI/Metric Monitoring - The monitoring of performance indicators that demonstrate how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives.
Issue Resolution - Addressing problems that need to be solved, the decisions that need to be made, and the risks that need to be mitigated.
Documentation & Records Management - Creating, distributing, using, maintaining and disposition of recorded information maintained as evidence of business activities and transactions.
Project Risk Management - The process of identifying, analyzing, and responding to any risk that arises over the life cycle of a project to help the project remain on track and meet its goal.
Budget Management - Estimates revenue and expenses over a specified future period of time and re-evaluates these on a periodic basis.
Project Quality Management - Ensures projects are delivered to an agreed quality.
Manages the administrative tasks, such as document and information distribution, and communication support, thorough project documentation
Helps to document meeting notes, action items, project status, and summaries
Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices, and conducting statistical analyses.
Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing, and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
Perform special projects in support of departmental objectives
Technology Integration - The approach that companies use to choose and refine the technologies employed in a new product, process, or service.
Application User Management Act as the liaison between stakeholders and third-party application providers; troubleshoot user issues and manage updates to custom forms and configurations.
Process Flow Development Create, refine, and maintain end to end process flows to support system functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
MS Office Proficiency Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote; able to create clear documentation, reporting dashboards, presentations, and organized project materials.
Power Platform Expertise Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) and have insight on building low code solutions, automate workflows, and support data driven decision making.
Smartsheet Proficiency Skilled in building dashboards, automated workflows, forms, and project trackers to support operational visibility and process efficiency.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications:
Project Management Professional Certified
Possess Lean Six Sigma belt (minimum Yellow Belt) with working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
