The Role • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel. • Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, welding, and installing pipes. • Install utilities such as sinks, showers, and toilets aboard vessels. • Assemble and install fittings, valves, and related components according to technical drawings and specifications. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure project completion and adhere to safety regulations. • Maintain accurate work records. What You'll Need • A Modern Apprenticeship or Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification). • Experience in pipe manufacturing and installation, including proficient use of relevant tools and equipment. • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications. • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements. • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
