Lead Support Engineer

Duties:
Administer and support enterprise BI platforms including Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, SAP
Business Objects, and Curator, providing L2/L3 production support by diagnosing and resolving
complex application and performance issues. Install, configure, and maintain BI infrastructure
across multiple environments and Windows servers, ensuring system stability, scalability, and
optimal performance. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using
Tableau, Power BI, Web Intelligence, and Crystal Reports to deliver actionable insights for
business decision making. Perform data modeling and integration activities, connecting BI
solutions with backend systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, and PostgreSQL to ensure
accurate and efficient data delivery. Automate BI processes including data extract refreshes,
report publishing, and workflow orchestration using REST APIs and other automation
techniques to improve operational efficiency. Monitor platform performance and capacity
utilization, conduct performance tuning, and lead capacity planning initiatives to ensure high
availability and responsiveness of BI systems. Establish and enforce BI governance
frameworks, including workspace management, content lifecycle management, and publishing
standards within Power BI and other BI platforms. Configure and manage secure data
connectivity solutions, including Data Gateway clusters, SSO, and Azure AD integration,
ensuring compliance with enterprise security and access control policies. Administer user
access and security models, implementing role-based access control (RBAC), permissions, and
authentication mechanisms across Tableau Server, Power BI Service, and SAP Business Objects
environments. Develop and optimize SAP Business Objects content, including Web
Intelligence reports, universes (UNX/UNV), and Crystal Reports, ensuring efficient query
performance and enhanced user experience. Lead BI platform migrations and upgrades,
including transition from Power BI Premium to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring seamless migration of
datasets, reports, and pipelines with minimal downtime. Collaborate with cross-functional
teams and stakeholders, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and offshore teams, to
gather requirements, define user stories, manage testing, and ensure successful project delivery
with stakeholder sign-off.
Requirements:
Requires Bachelors degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Applied
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Management Information
Systems, Information Science or related field. Requires 5 years of experience in the job offered
or as Lead Engineer, Senior software engineer, Software Engineer or related field. Requires
experience in Tableau server 2019, Tableau Desktop & PREP 2019, SAP Business Objects 4.1,
Crystal reports 2016, Universe Design tool & Information Design tool 4.1,Power BI Service,
Power BI desktop, QlikView Server 11, Qlik View Desktop 11, PostgreSQL, Windows Server.
Job requires relocation to unanticipated client locations throughout the US
