The Role
- Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel for both large and small-bore applications.
- Utilizing a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, welding, and installing pipes.
- Installing essential utilities aboard vessels, such as sinks, showers, and toilets.
- Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborating effectively with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of complex projects.
- Adhering strictly to all safety regulations and company procedures, and maintaining accurate work records.
What You'll Need
- A Modern Apprenticeship or recognized Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is essential, and must be provided with your application.
- Proven experience in pipe manufacture and installation, with proficiency in using necessary tools and equipment for major projects.
- Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements, with consistent application on the job.
- Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial environment.
