Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in J2EE, Spring Framework, REST/SOAP services, enterprise application development, and relational databases. The ideal candidate must have recent hands-on development experience building enterprise-scale backend applications and should be comfortable working in n-tier and distributed architectures.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing and developing n-tier architectures, including UI, Business Logic Layer, and Data Access Layer.
• Experience working with distributed architectures using IBM DataPower, MuleSoft, or other Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) platforms.
• Strong expertise in J2EE and Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Core, and Spring Transactions.
• Strong understanding of JSP, EJB, Servlets, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, JTA Transaction Services, Log4J, Thread Management, and Asynchronous Java Processing.
• Hands-on experience developing REST and SOAP Web Services using JAX-WS, JAX-RS, and Spring Framework.
• Experience building enterprise-scale applications with end-to-end build, packaging, and deployment on WebSphere and JBoss application servers.
• Strong experience writing unit test cases using JUnit, Mockito, and Jest to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle and advanced SQL concepts.
• Good understanding of database principles, performance optimization, and data management.
• Experience working with SDLC processes and Application Lifecycle Management tools such as JIRA.
• Must have recent hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with development teams, leadership, and clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience optimizing SQL queries using indexes, partitioning, and performance tuning techniques.
• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries with joins, subqueries, and advanced SQL functions.
• Experience troubleshooting SQL performance issues using profiling and debugging tools.
• Frontend development experience with React or Angular.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical design discussions.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and recommend automated code review tools.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to define technical solutions.
• Passion for building high-quality, scalable enterprise applications using software engineering best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
