Job Summary

The Applications Developer 1 will support the configuration, development, testing, and production support of the FASTDS-VS® COTS application. The resource will work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, configure application components, develop enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support production environments.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze application requirements and change requests.
• Configure and maintain the FASTDS-VS® application.
• Perform reference table and application configurations.
• Set up users, roles, and access permissions.
• Develop application enhancements and change requests.
• Develop and maintain scripts and SQL queries.
• Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
• Work with source control and software development tools.
• Perform application testing and defect resolution.
• Prepare implementation and technical specifications.
• Provide production application support.
• Follow coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
• Work within both Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2+ years of SQL database experience
• 2+ years of Object-Oriented development
• Experience with .NET, C#, Java, or VB
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and coding best practices.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and applications.
