Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications supporting military aviation mission-planning systems.
The successful candidate will have strong software engineering experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with development teams, customers, and end users.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze software requirements and software requirement specifications.

Design and develop software components and user interfaces.

Perform system-level and unit-level testing.
-
Take ownership of applications and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Represent the development team in customer and internal meetings as needed.

Provide technical analysis and recommendations.
-
Develop and present technical meeting materials.
-
Collaborate with development teams, customers, and end users to deliver effective software solutions.

Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Troubleshoot and debug software applications.
-
Help ensure software products meet technical, functional, and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10–12 years of software engineering experience within a DoD environment.
-
Active Secret Security Clearance.

Experience designing, developing, and supporting software applications.

Experience developing Microsoft Windows software applications using:

.NET Framework

Windows Forms

Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

Experience developing client applications using one or more of:

HTML5

JavaScript

TypeScript

Angular

Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to clearly communicate technical designs, processes, ideas, and solutions to development teams and customers.
