Senior Application Architect

McCann Partners is supporting a firm based in Miami hiring a Senior Enterprise Application Architect for a 3+ month contract engagement. This is a Hybrid engagement with 2 to 3 days required in their Chicago, Houston, or Salt Lake City Office.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Partake in the development and implementation of enterprise Application Architecture function. In addition, this role, working alongside of other application architects, will work with senior leaders to develop and architect strategic initiatives that align with the organization's overall solution objectives.  To be successful in this role, the Sr Enterprise Applications Architect should have strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, as well as a deep understanding of application related technology trends, application architecture & design patterns and best practices.  Additionally, this role should be able to think strategically and work collaboratively with other departments to achieve the organization's goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

• Partake in the development of an organization's application architecture, including the Target State Application Architecture that enables the Enterprise Architecture and the Architecture Vision, in a way that addresses the Statement of Architecture Work and stakeholder concerns.
• Ensuring that application architectures are aligned with the organization's overall solution goals and objectives.
• Developing and maintaining reference architecture, architecture building block (ABB), standards, and guidelines to ensure that the organization's technology is secure and compliant with industry standards.
• Overseeing the selection and implementation of technology solutions that meet the organization's needs.
• Identifying areas for solution, capability improvement and implementing strategies, roadmap to address them.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to identify and participate in prioritize initiatives.
• Staying up to date with emerging technology trends and developments and evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
• Communicating technology target state, roadmap and development progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Work Experience, Skills
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Application Architecture function, preferred in a global capacity.
• Strong knowledge of architecture governance concepts, application design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience developing and implementing architecture governance, guidelines, procedures, and standards.
• Experience with one or more platforms such as Microsoft M365, SharePoint, Azure, ERP, SaaS, PaaS, Salesforce, MuleSoft, ServiceNow.
• Proven change management skills.
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with business and IT cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value in both Agile and traditional project management lifecycle (PMLC).
• Experience leading a team of architects, technology owners, and technology subject matter experts.
