QA Automation Architect (Playwright + AI-Driven QA)

Job Overview
We are seeking a QA Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-grade automation frameworks. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, UI/API automation, and AI-driven QA practices.

You will be responsible for driving automation strategy, improving test coverage, and enabling high-quality releases across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities
1.          Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript
2.          Implement UI, API, and end-to-end test automation strategies
3.          Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
4.          Define and implement test strategies, quality gates, and reporting metrics
5.          Drive AI-based QA initiatives (test generation, optimization, self-healing tests)
6.          Identify and resolve test flakiness and performance bottlenecks
7.          Collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders/
8.          Lead and mentor offshore/onshore QA teams
9.          Establish best practices, coding standards, and reusable automation components

Required Skills
1.          10+ years of experience in QA / Test Automation
2.          Proven experience as a QA Automation Architect / Staff QA Engineer

3.          Strong hands-on expertise in:
1.          Playwright (Mandatory)
2.          TypeScript (Mandatory)
3.          UI Automation & API Testing
4.          Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
5.          Strong understanding of CI/CD integration and DevOps practices
6.          Experience with AI/ML in QA (test generation, predictive analysis, or intelligent automation)
7.          Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
8.          Strong communication and client-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications
1.          Experience with Playwright MCP Server or AI-based automation tools
2.          Insurance or regulated domain experience
3.          Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models
