Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright-based test automation and emerging AI-driven testing/automation technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Build and enhance UI automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop automated test scenarios for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
• Leverage AI/GenAI tools and AI-assisted testing to improve test creation, execution, defect identification, and test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate REST APIs and backend services.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with development, product, and QA teams.
• Maintain test documentation, automation standards, and reporting.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in QA Automation / SDET.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills.
• Experience with UI and API automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium or other automation frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with AI/GenAI-assisted testing or automation.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with Git/version control.

Preferred

• Experience with AI-powered test automation, LLMs, ChatGPT/Copilot, or AI testing tools.
• Experience testing microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with SQL/database validation.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience working in enterprise applications.

Must Have: Playwright + JavaScript/TypeScript + API Testing + AI/GenAI Automation
