Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer with deep iOS expertise and strong Android/Kotlin knowledge to lead mobile architecture, development, and technical strategy for secure, scalable, AI-enabled consumer applications. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring approximately 50% hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
• Provide technical direction for Android/Kotlin development.
• Define mobile engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices.
• Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and AI teams on technical strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Drive performance, scalability, security, testing, CI/CD, and observability improvements.
• Build and manage Datadog dashboards, monitors, and alerts.
• Implement Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics for mobile applications.
• Mentor engineers and communicate architecture and investment decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools within the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years mobile development experience and 3+ years in Principal/technical leadership roles.
• Expert Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine skills.
• Strong Kotlin/Android knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog, Adobe Analytics, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git, Fastlane, Firebase, CI/CD, automated testing, and App Store/Google Play releases.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth2, mobile security, accessibility, performance, and scalable architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fintech/financial services or consumer mobile experience.
• Experience with mobile payments, identity verification, or push notifications.
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled mobile applications.
