Senior Android Developer - Kotlin

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build modular, maintainable applications using modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
• Develop user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and/or Android XML-based UI frameworks.
• Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, authentication platforms, and third-party SDKs.
• Work with Android Jetpack components, coroutines, Flow, dependency injection, and local data persistence.
• Troubleshoot performance, stability, networking, and device-specific issues.
• Implement secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, data storage, and network communication.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews and CI/CD activities.
• Collaborate with product, UX, backend, middleware, QA, and architecture teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other developers when required.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience, or equivalent senior-level experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries, coroutines, and Flow.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, and mobile-to-backend integration.
• Experience with Git, Gradle, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of application architecture, design patterns, performance optimization, and secure mobile development.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Java-based Android applications and Kotlin migrations.
• Experience in automotive, connected-device, or other enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud services, API gateways, or event-driven integration.
