Title: Sr. QA Engineer

LOCATION: On-site in Fremont, CA
DURATION: 6-month contract-to-hire
Key Outcomes

HM is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to backfill a role on the HR systems team at the Fremont office . The role requires a hybrid of manual and automation testing to support frequent weekly releases .

Candidate Requirements

· Technical Skills: Must have proficiency in Python, Selenium, and Playwright . Strong SQL experience (specifically joins and basic queries) is required .

· Strong JIRA

· Experience Level: 5 to 6 years of experience; candidates with 8+ years are considered too senior for this individual contributor role .

· Responsibilities: 50/50 split between functional manual testing (JIRA-based) and automation .

· Domain Knowledge: Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) or financial/compensation data is a plus but not mandatory .

· Logistics: Must work in-person at the Fremont office (901 Page) due to the confidential nature of the HR data .

POSITION SUMMARY:

· Should be able to do both functional and Automation testing.

• Track our automation testing progress with weekly reports.
• Write backend integration tests and tests for RESTful APIs.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, and/or C#.
• Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (Playwright, Selenium, Python, or any programming language, JIRA, STLC, Test Management tool –ALM, Zephyr).
• Knowledge of databases MSSQL/MYSQL.
• Experience with Mobile testing and Mobile automation.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Python.
• Design and develop integration, regression, and stress tests using industry standard tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analyst and Developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
