Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation for Web applications using Playwright.
Develop and maintain automation for Mobile applications using Appium across Android and iOS.
Automate end-to-end business workflows spanning Web, Mobile, APIs, databases, and integrated systems.
Implement automation solutions based on framework and design standards defined by the Automation Lead.
Build reusable automation components, libraries, utilities, and test-data solutions.
Work with low-code/no-code automation platforms where appropriate.
Review automation developed by Junior SDETs and provide technical guidance.
Mentor Junior SDETs on Playwright, Appium, automation framework practices, debugging, and test design.
Support Junior SDETs in understanding Retail Banking workflows and translating them into automated scenarios.
Troubleshoot complex automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
Maintain automation stability and reduce flaky test execution.
Contribute to functional, smoke, regression, and end-to-end automation suites.
Perform API and backend validation as part of integrated business workflows.
Integrate and execute automation through CI/CD pipelines.
Review execution results, identify defects, and work with development and QA teams toward resolution.
Participate in automation estimation, sprint planning, and automation prioritization.
Support the Automation Lead with delivery tracking, technical assessments, and automation reporting.
Participate in client discussions and technical walkthroughs when required.
Conduct knowledge-sharing and automation training sessions for junior team members.

Mandatory Skills
5+ years of QA / Test Automation experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
Strong hands-on experience with Appium for Mobile automation.
Experience automating Android and/or iOS applications.
Strong working knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
Experience designing and developing reusable automation components.
Strong understanding of automation framework design and best practices.
Experience with API automation and REST services.
Experience with SQL and database validation.
Exposure to low-code/no-code automation tools.
Experience with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience reviewing automation code and mentoring junior automation engineers.

Retail Banking Experience
Minimum 3 years of Retail Banking testing experience.
Experience with business workflows such as:
Customer onboarding and account opening
Online and mobile banking
Checking and savings accounts
Payments and fund transfers
Bill payments
Authentication and MFA
Customer profile and account servicing
Transaction history and statements
Core banking and downstream integrations

Nice-to-have Skills
Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar device cloud platforms.
Experience with data-driven and reusable automation framework patterns.
Exposure to accessibility, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.
Experience with parallel and distributed test execution.
Exposure to AI-assisted test automation capabilities
