Full Stack Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Full Stack Developer in Saint Louis, MO.

Overview

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team building their new enterprise application platform. The platform is part of a strategic modernization effort to change how business applications are developed, integrated, and delivered, using Node.js, JavaScript, APIs, and the Profound.js framework. You will help modernize legacy applications into scalable, maintainable systems and work with business partners, architects, analysts, and other engineers to design, build, and support them.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications on the platform using JavaScript, Node.js, and modern development practices
• Create and consume APIs to integrate enterprise applications and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production
• Contribute to application modernization and digital transformation projects
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Perform code reviews and help set development standards and best practices
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• JavaScript application development
• Server side development with Node.js or similar technologies
• Experience with APIs and relational databases
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment

• IBM i/AS400 systems
• DB2 (SQL DDL and DDS)
• RPG ILE (RPGIV, modular programs)

• AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Opus, or IBM Bob
• General understanding of MCP architecture

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
