Job Title: Report Developer
Location: Remote
Duration:06-month contract
Description:
The Report Developer role is responsible for working with the business to understand requirements, design and implement effective reports, KPIs and dashboards. This role ensures that solutions meet business needs and tests to ensure data quality and governance. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong business acumen, enabling them to translate organizational needs into effective data solutions.
Essential Functions:

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models using MS Fabric datasets.
Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into Power BI solutions.
Develop optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models.
Perform data transformation and preparation using Power Query (M).
Develop interactive dashboards with appropriate visualizations, filters, drill-throughs, and KPIs.
Troubleshoot Power BI data, refresh, performance, and visualization issues.
Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) where required.
Validate data accuracy and perform reconciliation between source systems and Power BI reports.
Work with data engineering teams to understand data pipelines, data sources, and data models.
Support report testing, UAT, deployment, and production releases.
Support ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requirements from business teams.

Competencies:

Deep knowledge of PowerBI
Problem-solving analytical mindset with problem-solving focus
Ability to communicate effectively with teams across the global organization
Experience with data warehouse and reporting suites
Experience implementing effective star-schema data models for reporting and analytics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business Analysis, or related field.
Minimum 2+ years of experience developing reports using PowerBI

Strong expertise in:

PowerQuery
Finance reporting
Data Analysis

Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality
Azure Data Fabric, Data Lake or similar experience preferred.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $51.00-58.00per hour.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include [geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate].
