NJDOL Business Analyst - financial workflows

Role: Business Analyst – Salesforce/SaaS

Location: Trenton, NJ 08625

Position: Hybrid

Duration:  Long Term

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to identify customer pain points, opportunities, and digital experience improvements.
• Elicit, analyze, prioritize, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business, design, development, and vendor teams to define solutions and validate designs.
• Perform As-Is / To-Be analysis, GAP analysis, process mapping, and data mapping.
• Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and develop mitigation plans.
• Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, data flows, and project documentation.
• Develop business, logical, and physical data models.
• Manage requirements traceability, change control, and requirements status throughout the SDLC.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test data; support UAT, integration, performance, and load testing.
• Coordinate between state agencies, vendors, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Review and track defects, enhancements, and system issues through resolution.
• Develop training materials, user manuals, reports, and presentations.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirement prioritization, solution discussions, and consensus building.
• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Support large-scale system modernization, SaaS, COTS, and Salesforce implementations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Software Testing.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, prioritization, and traceability.
• Experience with SDLC, SaaS implementations, As-Is/To-Be modeling, and GAP analysis.
• Experience developing RTM, use cases, UAT plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Strong knowledge of process flows, data flows, process maps, and data modeling.
• Experience with business, logical, and physical data models.
• Strong problem-solving, research, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive consensus.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Salesforce implementation experience is preferred.

Desired Skills

• 2+ years of experience with:
  • COTS/SaaS implementations and large-scale modernization.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Salesforce application implementations.
