Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SDET / Test Automation Lead to design, enhance, and maintain enterprise test automation frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, API automation, BDD frameworks, CI/CD, JMeter, SQL, integration testing, and automation framework architecture. This role also involves technical leadership, mentoring test engineers, developing test strategies, and collaborating closely with Product Owners, Developers, and business teams.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of overall software testing / test automation experience
• Strong experience designing and developing enterprise-level automation frameworks

Required Technical Skills

• 8+ years of test automation framework design/development
• 3 5+ years of Java
• 3 5+ years of Cucumber, JBehave, or similar BDD frameworks
• Strong experience with JavaScript
• 3 5+ years of REST API / Web Services testing
• Experience with Karate
• Experience with JMeter
• Strong API automation experience
• CI/CD test automation
• Experience developing:

  • Test data
• Strong SQL and relational database querying skills
• Full-stack testing experience
• Third-party integration testing

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance test automation frameworks using Java / JavaScript
• Develop automated test cases using existing automation frameworks
• Build automation solutions supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Design and maintain API test automation frameworks
• Develop automated functional tests using Java, Karate, Cucumber, and related tools
• Develop scenario-based performance tests using JMeter
• Analyze business requirements and acceptance criteria to create test strategies and test plans
• Perform API, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Support exploratory and manual testing where appropriate
• Review test results and troubleshoot automation failures
• Coordinate with Product Owners regarding defects, enhancements, and functional requirements
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and automation guidelines
• Mentor onshore and offshore QA/SDET team members
• Train engineers on creating, executing, analyzing, and maintaining automated regression suites
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders

Technical Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple applications and projects
• Mentor junior and senior test engineers
• Review automation architecture and coding standards
• Drive continuous improvement of automation frameworks
• Support defect analysis and root-cause investigation
