Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Solution Architect with strong expertise in PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), business process design, solution architecture, and product data management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windchill modules, including PDMLink, MPMLink, QMS, ProjectLink, Options and Variants, and PartsLink Classification.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable Windchill solutions, gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications, optimizing workflows, integrating enterprise applications, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect PTC Windchill PLM solutions aligned with business requirements and organizational objectives.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, translating them into functional specifications and solution designs.

• Configure, customize, and implement Windchill modules, including PDMLink, MPMLink, QMS, and ProjectLink.

• Work with Windchill Options and Variants Management and PartsLink Classification to support product configuration and classification requirements.

• Design, develop, and optimize business workflows, product data processes, and lifecycle management solutions.

• Integrate Windchill with ThingWorx Foundation, ThingWorx Composer, and ThingWorx Navigate.

• Develop and maintain business reports using Windchill Business Reporting, Cognos, and Jasper Reporting tools.

• Develop and customize applications using Core Java, J2EE, and Google Web Toolkit (GWT).

• Manage and optimize SQL databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and performance.

• Configure and maintain application server environments, including Apache, and develop web components using XML, XSLT, HTML, and JSP.

• Design, develop, and maintain web portal dashboards to provide users with efficient access to business data and analytics.

• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to define solution requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure successful implementation.

• Perform solution validation, troubleshoot application issues, and support ongoing enhancements and system optimization.

• Ensure solutions follow established technical standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Windchill Solution Architecture, Windchill development, or a similar PLM technical role.

• Strong hands-on expertise in PTC Windchill PLM.

• Experience with Windchill modules, including:

  • PDMLink

  • MPMLink

  • Quality Management System (QMS)

  • ProjectLink

  • Options and Variants Management

  • PartsLink Classification

• Experience with ThingWorx Foundation, Composer, and Navigate.

• Knowledge of Windchill Business Reporting, Cognos, and Jasper Reporting.

• Strong programming skills in Core Java, J2EE, and GWT.

• Proficiency in SQL database management, particularly Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

• Experience with Apache and web technologies, including XML, XSLT, HTML, and JSP.

• Experience developing and maintaining web portal dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Strong understanding of business analysis, requirements gathering, process design, workflow design, and product data management.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet project deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
