Forward Deployed Engineering

Introduction

As an Engagement Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of surgical AI solutions deployed directly at hospital sites for a global MedTech client. You are the single point of accountability for your Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) pod, owning everything from discovery and scoping through production deployment and ongoing operations. This role combines technical leadership, clinical domain expertise, and operational excellence to drive transformative outcomes in surgical AI across hospital networks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of surgical AI solutions deployed at hospital sites.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) pod.
  • Manage discovery, scoping, production deployment, and ongoing operations of surgical AI solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and clinical domain expertise to drive transformative outcomes in surgical AI across hospital networks.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance, PHI protection, and adherence to SOC 2 controls in all deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate surgical AI solutions with hospital EHR systems and medical device software.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of healthcare-specific features and functionalities in surgical AI solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of deployed solutions to meet client requirements and expectations.
  • Identify and address any technical or operational issues that may arise during deployment and ongoing operations.
  • Provide training and support to hospital staff on the use of surgical AI solutions.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Experience with HIPAA compliance and PHI protection in healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 controls and their application in software deployments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and regulations.
  • Experience with surgical AI, computer vision, and medical device software.
  • Ability to work with hospital EHR systems and integrate solutions with existing platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in deploying AI solutions in hospital environments.
  • Understanding of the operational challenges in healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in surgical AI and computer vision.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
