MuleSoft Engineer – Banking

Charlotte, NC | Hybrid | Contract 

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Engineer to support enterprise integration and API development initiatives for a banking client in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid contract opportunity requiring strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and secure, scalable enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Develop System, Process, and Experience APIs using API-led connectivity principles.
• Build complex transformations and integration logic using DataWeave.
• Work with Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and CloudHub/Runtime Fabric.
• Design and consume REST and SOAP services and work with JSON and XML integrations.
• Implement API security, authentication, error handling, logging, monitoring, and performance best practices.
• Integrate MuleSoft with enterprise applications, databases, messaging platforms, and banking systems.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and business teams in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of MuleSoft development and enterprise integration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Mule 4 and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Strong knowledge of DataWeave, REST APIs, RAML/OAS, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with CloudHub and API management.
• Understand enterprise integration patterns, API security, OAuth, and related authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Banking or financial services experience is strongly preferred.
• MuleSoft certification is a plus.
